We didn’t believe that the scenery and attractions could get any better, but we were wrong. The further north we travel, the more beautiful it gets. We have been treated with numerous whale sightings. We never grow tired of watching the large water spout shooting into the air, followed by the swish of their massive tale. Magnificent!
On July 4th, we sat on the sand dunes with a group of people and enjoyed a spectacular fireworks show, launched in a cove between a bridge and the Pacific Ocean. All you can eat pancakes at the Lions Hall, was a real treat. Found a secluded rv park with only 6 spaces; each overlooking the ocean. We spent almost a week there and toured both north and south of Newport. One of the tours was in a quaint town called Tillamook. Their claim to fame is a wonderful cheese factory that we toured and enjoyed the free samples.
We never tire of searching out lighthouses, covered bridges and waterfalls.
We went to town of Bend for some much needed maintenance on the coach. Since this was the birthplace of our motorhome, we said we were docking with the “mother ship”. Beaver Motor coaches was our home for almost a week and we enjoyed exploring the area.
